Makes 8 servings (1 cup pasta with 1/2 cup sauce)

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg (13.25 oz each) dry whole grain spaghetti, uncooked
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 8 ounces extra lean ground beef, 93% lean
  • 1 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup coarsley shredded carrot
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 can (26.5 oz each) Hunt's® Traditional Spaghetti Sauce
Directions
  1. Prepare pasta according to package directions. Drain.
  2. Meanwhile, heat oil over medium-high heat in large skillet. When hot, add beef. Cook and stir until beef is crumbled and starts to brown.
  3. Add bell pepper and carrot to skillet along with garlic powder and black pepper. Cook and stir until beef is browned and vegetables are tender, about 7 to 9 minutes. Add spaghetti sauce and heat through.
  4. Serve meat sauce over spaghetti.
